Vet Reviews of Brooklyn Dog Beds

Over the years, we've had the privilege of supplying Brooklyn beds to veterinarians, vet clinics and veterinary professionals.

We've received positive feedback from veterinary professionals who use our beds with their own pets, and have shared that they recommend Brooklyn beds when clients ask about comfortable places for their dogs to sleep.

Oliver here, one of the vets/owners of the Onewa Road Vet Hospital.

The Brooklyn bed was bought for my dog Danni. She’s a lovely but anxious rescue that often comes to work with me.

She’s a bit of a worried girl and tends to bark at people when they come into the office, at least until they give her a few pats then she’s all cuddles.

Since getting the [Brooklyn] bed she’s definitely been a lot more chill so I think she’s feeling really comfortable.

Your dog’s sleep is just as important for them as it is for us.

When joints are ageing, you need more than a cushion, you need orthopaedic support.

The Brooklyn Bed has a memory foam blend, which supports hips and shoulders.

If your dog is struggling to get up, this level of support can make a really big difference.

I have an older greyhound cross who absolutely loves the support of the Brooklyn memory foam bed.

It’s large enough that he and our cat often cuddle up in it together.

The bed’s durability has been well tested by my Dalmatian, who likes to dig in her bed before settling and has destroyed all our previous beds. This one is holding up really well.

I really like that the cover is very durable and machine washable, and it looks great as well.

The importance of sleep in canine health and behaviour cannot be over-estimated.

As a vet with a special interest in behaviour I know that inadequate sleep is a major barrier to managing behavioural challenges. It also becomes increasingly important in our older dogs as arthritic aches and pains can make it harder to get comfortable and lack of sleep exacerbates the experience of pain.

The Brooklyn Deep Sleep bed is a great asset in facilitating this rest.

Having tried it for my middle-aged Labrador Ned I am impressed by how supportive the extra filling is and how he can shift it around to find a comfortable position.

The raised rim is perfect for resting his head, other times he curls up right into the base. It has quickly become his favourite place to rest.

It is also a huge bonus that the cover is removable to wash, as it is easier to keep clean as his medical issues make him a bit leaky at times!

I would definitely recommend this bed for comfort and relaxation for dogs of any age.

Conversations We’ve Had Along The Way

One of the most rewarding moments is taking our own pets to the vet and hearing, "Oh, Brooklyn beds! We love those beds!"

Over the years, we’ve had countless conversations where veterinarians and clinic staff have recognised our brand and shared that they already own Brooklyn beds or recommend them to pet owners looking for a high-quality dog bed.

While these aren’t formal testimonials, they’re some of the most meaningful feedback we receive because they happen naturally during everyday conversations.
